The Switchback 5 is a challenging 5-mile trail race organised by Striders of Croydon.
Open to runners of all abilities, from speedsters to walkers. Come & test yourself over the undulating terrain whilst appreciating the scenic Croydon trails in a welcoming & supportive race atmosphere.
The route is marked & marshalled with a 1-hour 40-minute cut-off so is also suitable for walkers.

Entry Fee: £10 affiliated / £12 non-affiliated / £15 on the day
Entry requirements: Aged 15 or over and following UK Athletics rules

All finishers receive a memento & are welcome to join us for refreshments at our Sandilands clubhouse after the race.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the men’s and women’s races, alongside awards for the male & female V40, V50 & V60 winners.
The start & finish of the race is in Lloyd Park, a few of minutes jog from the Race HQ (an ideal warm up!).
Lloyd Park and Sandilands are on the Croydon Tramlink network, a couple of stops from East Croydon mainline station.
The start and finish in Lloyd Park & the viewing platform in Addington Hills are good places to spectate.
There are toilet & changing facilities at the Race HQ & a bag drop that will be marshalled at all times. Bags are left at the owner’s own risk & Striders of Croydon take no responsibility for any items left in bags.
Race numbers will not be posted and can be collected at Race HQ from 8am.
